I sing bass, beatbox, and arrange with Absolute A Cappella, a co-ed group at Cornell. We sing concerts each semester and perform a variety of pop songs. I previously served as the Public Relations Chair and Co-Social Chair for our group.
In addition to districts and state ensembles, I was the principal chair of the Cape Cod Youth Orchestra.
I was also second place in the Chatham Music Club Scholarship Competition. You can watch me perform Vocalise by Rachmaninoff here.
I played cello for more than 8 years, and it's definitely one of my favorite instruments. I've played with my school's string ensemble, as well as auditioned for Senior Districts and All States.
I was principal and assistant principal chair at Senior Districts various years as well as obtained All State recommendations all four years. I've also been the third chair at All State.Â
I sang bass in Sturgis Singers, my high school's chorus, and I beatboxed in addition to singing bass in Half Step Down, my high school's acapella group.
As the pit pianist for my high school's production of Legally Blonde and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, I was an important part in the foundation of the musical, not only being a piano, but often a string section, an organ, and a synth. I also led the group as a cornerstone of the orchestra.
